DOLE RO V turn-over of DILP fund to SCFI, Meeting with Beneficiaries

As the Accredited Co-Partner (ACP) of Department of Labor and Employment - Regional Office V under the DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program, Sunwest Care Foundation, Inc., organized an “Individual Livelihood Assistance Project”, which aims to support the beneficiaries with existing livelihood or skills, that could grow into a viable and sustainable business through the provision of raw materials, tools and equipment.

 

After a series of review and assessment by DOLE, the Notice of Approval for the proposed project was awarded on June 2, 2022 by the Department of Labor and Employment - Regional Office V to Sunwest Care Foundation, Inc., and on July 8, 2022, turnover of the project check/ fund for the purchasing of materials, was held at the Conference Room of SCFI Office.

Present during the turn-over activity were SCFI Representatives: Executive Director, Gemina O. Quiros, Program Support Officer, Henio D. Balute, Admin Staff, Diana Aycardo, and Agriculture Staff, Edison Batalero; with DOLE Representatives: LEO/Livelihood Focal PersonOlga R. Ludovice Sr., Bianca Gubat Program Coordinator, Alma Banda Livelihood Coordinator and Ching Banania OIC-Provincial Head. 

The project has a total of thirty-eight (38) beneficiaries, who were from eight ( 8 ) different barangays of the five (5) Towns in Albay. Contract Signing was conducted with the beneficiaries on July 13 - 15, 2022, as witnessed by one of their Barangay Council, while discussing the counterparts and the target schedule of activities.

 

In the morning of July 13, 2022, fourteen (14) beneficiaries from Brgy. San Bernardo attended the meeting, which was held at the Barangay Hall of San Bernardo, Tiwi. Brgy. Kagawad Larry Ces signed as witness on the agreement between SCFI and project beneficiary.

 

In the afternoon of July 13, 2022, five (5) beneficiaries from Brgy. Misibis attended the meeting, which was held at the Misibis Elementary School, Misibis, Bacacay. Brgy. Captain Rowena Basanta signed as witness on the agreement between SCFI and project beneficiary

In the morning of July 14, 2022, five (5) beneficiaries from Brgy. Alobo attended the meeting, which was held at the Barangay Hall of Alobo, Daraga. Brgy. Captain, Marites Magnata signed as witness on the agreement between SCFI and project beneficiary.

In the afternoon of July 14, 2022, a total of four (4) beneficiaries: Two (2) beneficiaries from Brgy. Lidong, Sto. Domingo, One (1) beneficiary from Brgy. Mabinit, Legazpi City and One (1) beneficiary from Brgy. Bogña, Legazpi City have attended the meeting, which was held at the Barangay Hall of Lidong Sto. Domingo. Brgy. Captain of Lidong, Lilia Balla signed as witness on the agreement between SCFI and project beneficiary

In the morning of July 15, 2022, a total of ten (10) beneficiaries: Seven (7) beneficiaries from Brgy. Lamba, Legazpi City, and Three (3) beneficiaries from Brgy. Puro, Legazpi City have attended the meeting, which was held at the Barangay Chapel of Lamba, Legazpi City. Brgy. Captain of Lamba, Norberto Abion signed as witness on the agreement between SCFI and project beneficiary.

 

Through the project, the beneficiaries are envisioned to have sustainable livelihood that also sustains income for their family, and be equipped with the necessary knowledge to maintain their business.
