LEADERSHIP TRAINING 2022 FOR HIGH SCHOOL SCHOLARS

A total of eighty (80) Internal and External High School Scholars from Albay divided into four (4) batches attended the one-day Leadership Training (LETRA) 2022 with the theme “Strengthening Leadership Skills Through Communication and Connection” held at the Puro Elementary School on July 20, 21, 26 and 27, 2022 facilitated by SCFI Program Staffs: Ms. Abbygail Binas, Ms. Swetzel Boringot and Ms. Jessa Sabalboro. They enthusiastically cooperated on the discussions of every topic discussed by the facilitators. 

 

“LEADERSHIP DOESN’T HAPPEN IN A DAY, IT HAPPENS DAILY.”

 

For the morning session, Ms. Abbygail and Ms. Swetzel defined leadership and discussed its qualities and characteristics. Activities involved were: “Human Bingo”, Reflection to Video Presentations, Role-Playing that portrays the leader in a Community, School and Family.

 

In the afternoon session, Ms. Jessa revolved in the topic: "Working Together: Increase Involvement and Develop Stronger Connections," which aims to improve their communication skills and leadership in a team. Activities conducted were: “Tell Me What”, “Train of Silly Walks”, and “Building Your Future."

With the lectures, workshops and team-building activities, the training aimed to help the scholars develop, influence and practice effective leadership skills that would enable them to become an effective and efficient leaders of our future and our society. SCFI also looked forward to increase their self-awareness and the camaraderie between the high school scholars from different communities, culture and backgrounds.
